The Reverend Canon Kelli Grace Kurtz

Rector

MotherKelliGrace@gmail.com Do justly. Love mercy. Walk humbly with God. Micah 6:8 Mother Kelli Grace began her tenure as Rector of All Saints’ on March 1, 2019. It’s a homecoming of sorts, as she was Associate here from 1999-2007. She is delighted to be back serving with this dynamic and Christ-centered faith community. Kelli Grace+ has a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from California State University at Fullerton and holds a Master’s of Art in Religion from Claremont School of Theology. She serves the Diocese as the Chair of the Program Group on Mission Congregations, Chair of the Committee on Constitution and Canons, a member of the Program Group on Youth and Young Adults, and as a chaplain at Camp Stevens. She helped start Laundry Love Pomona, an affiliate of the national initiative Laundry Love which seeks to provide those living on the edge with the ability to have clean clothes. She has built two rock labyrinths. In 2014, while on sabbatical, KGK+ hiked the Camino de Santiago, a medieval pilgrimage trail, from Saint Jean de Pied Pointe, France to Santiago de Compostela, Spain, some 500 miles. She and her husband Mark have four grown children, the world’s four most adorable grandchildren God ever created, three dogs, and a beta fish “Julian”. She keeps trying to learn how to play the ukulele, and loves rocks. Her favorite place around the All Saints’ campus is at the crossing where one can get the best view of both the rose window and the doors that lead us back out into the world to love and serve God and God’s people.

Vestry

Serving on the vestry is a unique experience — similar to serving on secular community boards in some ways, but different in other important ways. The most obvious difference is that vestry members are first called to follow Christ and to work together in God’s name.

The vestry has a responsibility for ensuring that the spiritual mission of the church is maintained, as well as for carrying out the more secular duties related to church property, finances, and personnel. The vestry functions under the concept of “shared ministry,” in which the rector and the vestry are part of an interdependent team that involves many other parishioners in a variety of leadership and supportive roles. Ultimately, service on the vestry can be a joyful experience that enriches both one’s spiritual life and one’s feelings of connectedness with other vestry members, the rector, and the entire church community.

Meet the dedicated members of All Saints’ Vestry, and feel free to reach out to them if you have questions about the church.
